Jaytech | Voting Terms & Conditions
1. Who Can Participate (Eligibility)
Age & Location: Voting is open to a global audience aged 15 and older.
Sanctions & Restrictions: If your country or region is added to Jaytech’s restricted territories list or becomes subject to United Nations trade sanctions, residents of that area will automatically become ineligible to participate.
2. Timeline & Deadlines
Event Schedules: Jaytech powers voting across a variety of events. Because each event follows its own schedule, specific Voting Periods are determined by the respective event organizers and will be announced accordingly.
Hard Cutoffs: Timing is strictly enforced. Any votes submitted before the official start or after the official close of a designated Voting Period will not be tallied.
3. How to Cast Your Vote
To support your favorite participants, follow this step-by-step process:
1. Select Your Event - Choose the specific event you want to participate in to view the official list of candidates.
2. Pick Your Candidates - Select one or more candidates. There is no limit to how many candidates you can support.
3. Choose a Voting Package - Pick a package for your chosen candidate(s). Higher-tier packages grant more votes, boosting their standings. Pricing scales based on the package selected.
4. Integrity & System Tampering
Any deliberate attempt to disrupt, damage, or compromise Jaytech’s websites, mobile services, or online voting systems is a serious offense.
Legal Note: Such actions may constitute a breach of the Crimes Act 1961 (relating to computer offenses) and violate civil laws. Jaytech reserves the right to fully prosecute any individuals involved and seek maximum damages and legal remedies through the New Zealand courts.
5. Payment Details & Transaction Fees
Surcharge Transparency: In accordance with New Zealand consumer guidelines regarding surcharging, when purchasing voting credits via PayPal, Credit Card, or Debit Card, a processing fee is applied to cover the transaction costs charged by these financial providers.
Calculation: This fee is determined by PayPal and the respective banking institutions (typically a percentage of the total transaction plus a fixed baseline fee) and is added to the base price of the voting package.
No Hidden Costs: The final, all-inclusive price—including the processing fee—will be clearly displayed at checkout before you finalize your transaction, ensuring compliance with the Fair Trading Act 1986.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Jurisdiction: These rules and all voting transactions are governed strictly by the laws of New Zealand.
Resolution Process: If a controversy or claim arises that cannot be resolved through direct informal discussions, the parties agree to resolve the matter through final and binding arbitration.
Arbitration Body: Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in New Zealand in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1996 and the Arbitration Rules of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre (NZDRC). The proceedings will be conducted in English by a sole arbitrator.
